The DC Distribution Box (DCDB) is a key safety component in a solar PV system, designed to combine multiple DC strings and ensure protection on the DC side before the power is fed into the inverter.

For 5–10 kW solar rooftop systems, this 2-in/2-out DCDB provides surge protection, overcurrent protection, and system isolation for maintenance and fault management. It is built to comply with MNRE and DISCOM standards for safe and reliable solar operations.

Key Components Included

1. DC SPD – 600V (2 Nos.)

   • Protects against voltage surges, lightning strikes, and transient spikes.

   • Type 2 SPD specifically designed for solar PV applications.

2. DC Fuse – 20A, 1000V (2 Nos.)

   • Provides individual string overcurrent protection.

   • Isolates faulty strings to prevent complete system shutdown.

3. Terminal Blocks / MC4 Connectors (Optional)

   • Allows secure and safe connections for input and output wiring.

   • Simplifies installation and maintenance.

4. Weatherproof Enclosure

   • IP65-rated, ensuring protection from dust, rain, and UV radiation.

   • Rugged construction with powder-coated finish for long-term outdoor durability.
